Google Wave

I got my Google Wave invite a couple of days ago and have been experimenting with it since. It is a preview, not even a beta yet. But it has worked flawlessly the entire time. The biggest problem is likely that not everyone I communicate with is in Wave.

I also installed Google Chrome to test drive Wave in an environment it should really enjoy.

So the conclusions after only a few days testing is that it do look promising and that I hope it will be added to Google Apps soon. The need for more extensions, so it would be easier to relate to information already in the web, perhaps a way to comment on them right in Wave.

After it's release naturally there have been things showing up from others, like Mozillas Raindrops, that are in the same marketplace.

This is a good thing; there is need for a paradigm shift when it comes to communication and how we deal with information. Using separate platforms, clients and the like simply takes to looooong. Since I am a Microsoft Outlook user I have big hopes for Outlook and the possibility to integrate things into Outlook. But I am not that religious, if a better client that meet my needs show up I will change to it.
